Please Park your cars in the private Tucker property across South Road from the Camden lawn. The start and finish of the walk will be in the area of the south gate.

1. What is the BMHF Steps to Mental Wellness 5K Walk?

The BMHF Steps to Mental Wellness 5K Walk is an annual event organized by the Bermuda Mental Health Foundation to raise awareness and support for mental health initiatives. It’s a 5K walk through the scenic Botanical Gardens aimed at promoting mental wellness in the community.

2. When and where will the 2024 walk take place?

The walk is scheduled for Sunday, October 6, 2024, at the Botanical Gardens from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

3. Is there a registration fee for the walk?

Yes, there is a registration fee of $25.00. All proceeds go towards supporting mental health initiatives.

4. What should participants bring to the walk?

We recommend bringing comfortable walking shoes, a water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat. Rest assured, water stations will also be available along the route.

5. Are there any age restrictions for participants?

The event is open to participants of all ages. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

6. Will there be parking available at the event?

Yes, there will be ample parking available for participants near the Botanical Gardens. Signage and volunteers will guide you upon arrival.

7. How are the water stations managed?

Water stations will be strategically placed along the route, manned by volunteers to ensure all participants stay hydrated. Locations include the start and finish lines and a midpoint along the route.

8. Can I volunteer for the event?

Absolutely! We welcome volunteers to help with various tasks during the event. Please contact Althea at [email protected] to register as a volunteer.

9. What happens if it rains on the day of the event?

The event will take place rain or shine! In case of extreme weather conditions, any changes or cancellations will be communicated via our website and email to all registered participants.
